WD 2060-810035 Unlock PCB ROM Read and Write Tips

To all users of the Western Digital 20600-810035 unlock PCB:

All the 810035 unlock PCBs were tested on hard drives to make sure they are perfectly working for unlock purpose and users can read and write rom and can access to firmware area too.

Some of the users reported recently after they wrote the original rom to our unlock PCB, the original drive doesn’t spin up. According to our communication and our engineers have found users’ problem. They are trying to read the original ROM with pc3k boot mode but actually the ROM is not properly read and written, the rom was corrupted.

The solution is to swap the ROM chip directly from the original PCB to the unlock PCB or users can use the HDD ROM chip pin reader to read and write the ROM, then the patient hdd will be perfectly unlocked.
