Description
Surface Pro Data Drive Recovery Adapter Smart is world’s latest USB3.1 data recovery hardware tool to help data recovery engineers to recover lost data from dead or faulty Surface Pro5, Surface Pro6 and Surface Pro7 laptops. According to one of our users in US, this BGA adapter supports to work with Dell XPS Laptop and some other devices too. These laptops or devices don’t use traditional mechanical hard drives or SSDs but use one special BGA chip soldering on the motherboard. All the data is stored in the BGA chip, including controller and flash data inside.
With this new Surface Pro Data Drive Recovery Adapter Smart, Users just need to remove the BGA data chip and put the data chip to the chip holder and then connect the recovery adapter smart to PC, it is actually to convert the BGA chip to USB drive and then users can easily view all the data stored in the chip normally in pc.
BGA chip type supported in the Surface Pro Data Drive Recovery Adapter Smart:
New Chip type below added for new hardware after Sep.26, 2021
How do engineers recover lost data usually from dead/faulty Surface Pro.6 and 7 laptops or other devices using the same chip?
Users need to repair the motherboard and get the laptop alive to get lost data or users need to solder the BGA data chip off the patient motherboard and then solder the BGA chip to one good motherboard to get lost data back. This is undoubtedly high cost and very time-consuming, this will drive pc users/clients away. With this new Surface Pro Data Drive Recovery Adapter Smart, users just need to solder the chip off and put to our chip holder and then connect to any pc, the data is back only if the chip is not physically damaged.
Please note: This New Surface Pro Laptop Recovery Adapter Smart is hardware only, doesn’t contain any software, doesn’t repair any firmware or bad sectors in the data chip.

Hello Dolphin labs,
I see this item on your website:
https://www.dolphindatalab.com/product/surface-pro-data-drive-recovery-adapter-smart/
We have a case we think this may be useful for. A picture is attached.
– Does this work with this adapter or is another adapter needed?
– Does this adapter just make the drive show up as a regular USB drive or must it be used with other dolphin data recovery hardware?
– Do you accept Bitcoin for payment?
Thank you,

Hi,
I have a Microsoft Surface Pro that failed. Trying to recover the data but it’s a BGA SSD and it’s soldered onto the motherboard. I can have someone pull the SSD off the mainboard, but I see I’ll need one of these kit to read the drive in a PC. Can you tell me if these kits work fairly well? I mean, assuming the BGA SSD is not damaged, what’s the chance I can read the data the SSD with the kit you’re selling? I have the bitlocker key I need to decrypt the data.

Also, I see you’re in Ireland. How long will it take for me to receive the item once I order it? What about warranty? What if I have a DOA, if it doesn’t work on arrival? How about support?
Please advise.
Thank you,

Hello,
I was looking at this adapter and had some questions…
https://www.hddheadtools.com/product/surface-pro-data-drive-recovery-adapter-smart/
Does this support all chip manufacturers for these SSDs? Like Samsung, SK Hynix, Toshiba, Intel, etc…?
Does the chip need to have solder balls or can the solder be completely cleaned off to use this?
Thank you for your time!
